Hello all, I am a 21 year old woman who has taken a break from college. I'm not sure if I'm even planning on going back. I have always been fascinated with public safety/law enforcement jobs since I could remember. For about a year now, I've been applying for all sorts of jobs in that realm that sounds like I could potentially be pretty good at them. I specifically have been really really trying to get a job as a dispatcher. I don't care about the money, but from what I've seen and heard, this is a job I would LOVE to have. I feel like I'm a great fit for the part, I just haven't landed a job yet and I'm starting to get discouraged/thinking maybe I just won't ever be qualified enough to get a dispatch job? I've honestly applied for probably about 12 different dispatch positions, and within those I've scored around 3 interviews, and didn't get past 2 of them, and the 3rd I made it all the way to the last part of the hiring process where they determined they had other candidates that were better qualified.
